Happy International Women’s Day!
This year’s IWD theme is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”. It recognizes and celebrates the women and girls who are contributing to a sustainable and equal future with their work on climate change adaptation and response.
With climate change influencing sustainable development, and women commonly facing higher risks and greater burdens from its impact, collective action against climate change must be inclusive – ensure the full and equal participation of women and girls in decision making processes.
But beyond this, today, we celebrate all women: the colleagues, leaders, moms, daughters, sisters, and friends.
It would have been impossible to get to where we are today without your contributions and achievements.
