Oby is a risk management specialist, personal financial advisor, investor and entrepreneur. She has over 20 years of varied professional experience in Financial services, in the UK and Nigeria, and has a depth of expertise in the Governance, Risk and Compliance space.
Oby is the pioneer Chief Risk officer of Chapel Hill Denham, a leading Africa focussed Investment bank, and a Director of NASD plc, the first registered OTC securities market in Nigeria. She educates and is a speaker in the field of personal finance and risk and actively champions women’s financial education and financial participation.
Oby has a track record as a founder and funder of businesses: She is the Founder and President of Investment Eight Limited, an all-female investment club with a diverse portfolio of financial and business investments. She co-founded Uwa Earth Limited, a food manufacturer that exclusively used Nigeria sourced agricultural raw materials, in 2015 and exited the business in 2018. She is an Angel Investor with over 10 active investments and is part of the Exco of Rising Tide Africa where she is the lead for Investments and a Mentor.
Oby holds a BSc (Hons) in Biotechnology from Imperial College London and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
