Khaldoun is a Dutch finance & investments professional with strong ties to Nigeria and the African continent. His broad experience ranges from roles as a Finance Manager at Maersk (global shipping & logistics leader) and division CFO at United Bank for Africa to Private Equity, Venture Capital, Startups & Venture Building.
He co-led the creation of a family investment office with a focus on financial services, real estate, hospitality, power, oil & gas and agriculture. This was followed by varied direct Startup experience with 6 years as a Startup/growth CFO of a pan-African/global music streaming platform and years of financial and strategy consulting with startup clients on three continents. Khaldoun also managed a Dutch early-stage VC fund, mentoring startups and founders (fintech, e-health, SAAS, blockchain & e-commerce) and restructuring the allied Netherlands based Venture Builder. Additionally, he held a position with a Dutch semi-governmental agency focused on building startup programs and support ecosystem. Currently, involved in the founding of a Netherlands based consulting and venture building organisation focused on data & cybersecurity as well as an organization offering Venture Building as a service. This is in addition to an active advisory role in a South Africa based Fintech/Payments company.
